Call for participating in the 4th NRN Global Conference

Call for Expression of Interest to Participate in the 4th NRN Global Conference 2009 as a Delegate of NRN-Canada  

For Immediate Release 

The Non-Resident Nepali (NRN) Global Conference is a unique event in which NRNs collectively re-affirm their commitment to participate in Nepal's socio-economic development and explore ways of doing so. It is held every two years in Kathmandu and brings together NRN representatives from all over the world to take stock of their achievements in the previous two years and discuss the opportunities and challenges that lay ahead. The 4th Global Conference is going to be held on 13-15 October 2009 in Kathmandu, Nepal.  

NRN-Canada is in the process of nominating official delegates for this global conference.  The eligibility requirements for a delegate are:

  1. One has to be a registered general member of NRN-Canada in a good standing;
  2. Should be nominated by the National Coordinating Council of NRN-Canada
  3. Should pay USD 100 conference registration fee along with a prescribed registration form.

You need JavaScript enabled to view it by August 28, 2009.  The name-list gathered out of this process will then be verified and finalized by the National Coordinating Council of NRN-Canada before presenting to the Conference Organizing Committee.  The delegates are required to cover their travel and all related expenses on their own.  

The theme of the 4th NRN Global Conference will be "Peaceful and Prosperous Nepal - Common Dream of ours". The discussions and deliberations during the conference will be centered on and around this main theme. The conference is expected to come up with a road map on how the NRNs could be a partner in Nepal's socio-economic development. The conference delegates will participate in the election process of the International Coordinating Committee of the Non-Resident Nepali Association for a term of the next 2 years (2009-2011).
